No if you are happy with who you are then dont change. Either a person accepts you just the way you are or they dont. If you do decide to make a change just make sure it is because you want to and are comfortable with the change and not because someone else wants you too. If you change because of someone else and not because you want to you are not being true to yourself and will not be happy in the end. Always be yourself no matter what.

Falling in love should be the embracing of each other's true selves. If you feel you have to change yourself in the beginning, you are headed for a troubled relationship.

I know. I did it. I had a boyfriend who, about 6 months into the relationship, told me he needed me to change in some fundamental ways. I tried for a year and a half, wasting some really precious time. When he did me the favor of dumping me, I soon met the man who still thinks I am great, 15 years later.

Changes should come from within and should be done as a person matures and finds their right path.
You shouldn't become someone else to please a partner, friend, etc.
This would be a foolish attempt ... it would not be real and it would not last, the ugly monster would be peeping up through the curtains and causing havoc and confusion.
Changes are self disciplining moves to better oneself.
They shouldn't be forced, coerced or threatened, they must come naturally or they will have no lasting impact....

Mostly, u are who u are. For someone special, I might take 2 drink alcohol on occasion. That would be about it. I have not touched alcohol in nearly 30 years. Drank in college at Penn State, but grew up in a dry family. People should accept us with all of our flaws or assets.

It depends on what the change is. If it's a good change like not drinking so much and not smoking, absolutely. If it involves changing what you consider your morals, then not such a good idea. I had to change myself for my current relationship and it was a good thing. So, it really depends on your situation.

People are always changing for a variety of reasons.

The question is does the change make you a better person or is it silliness.

It depends on if something is problematic in all of your relationships. Do you have communication problem or attitude problem? Insecurities? Most of those things you will have to change, but anything having to do with your interests you shouldn't change just to impress someone.

No!!!! You shouldn't, no matter what!!! If these people don't like you for who you are, then don't change. It's not cool, or the right thing to do. If you had a boyfriend that only liked girls who smoked, would you start smoking?
