You should go to Pinkmonkey.com They give in-depth chapter summaries and character analyses. I would help, but I've never read the book! Sorry!

If you want more details than a website will give you, try going to the library or a bookstore and reading the chapters there. It seems like you have been good at reading it so far. If you are unable to read the chapters this weekend, explain it to your teacher and ask if you can take a quiz at a later date. Most teachers are willing to help students that show an effort in getting their work done. They know everyone can make a mistake. Good luck!

I do not understand why anyone would agree to read that book. It is all based on total lies and fabrications written by a woman who was never in the south in her life. She wrote from only what abolishionest said in the north at the time.

Conditions were not the best in the south but they were not as bad as shown in almost every item you see on slavery. That one book caused more hatred than the whole movement did.

I am sorry that you have to read that trash as an assignment. Don't get me wrong slavery is wrong even though it is Biblical. I hope you will tell your teacher that book should never be read by anyone unless they want to rehash everything that is wrong with slavery and cause more hatred. That book is nothing but hatred!
