Hey, I am having the same problem... it's definately hard to let go of something(sin) that has become a part of your life. You begin to wear it , identify with it... I am sure that I have done the right thing by leaving "THAT" part of my life behind. I cry, am tempted and nearly go there...But the real thing is this.....I am saved by the grace of God...You can't earn that and heaven knows we are never worthy......Stay strong sister. It's true that when we came out of our sin we were saved, but the second part of the deal is that it's hard to remain pure, honest, obedient, and devoted to Our Lord..
Some people reading this will laugh or make fun. Christianity is not PC for the likes of them but I don't care ....I will stand fast ......Realizing all along that I am not perfect but improving my walk with the Lord as best I can through his mercy and help....
Stay in touch with other believers, go to a bible based church, listen to the word, and pray for wisdom.....Wherever you are sister remember, there are others like you, struggling to do what is right and pleasing to God . Be strong.......
friday nite is difficult huh? old friends drinking, partying, messing around.......So much eye candy out there..Such temptation...... Be strong in the Lord and the power of his might.... I pray for your strength .....say one for me.......

Did I gather correctly from another question you asked that you're a teenager?

A lot of staying in the light has to do with "who, when, and where."

-Who are you with? They don't have to share your exact beleifs, but supporting you in decisions to live according to yours is very helpful.

-When are you in darker situations? Late at night I bet.

- Where are you? Are you somewhere where the holy ghost can easily be felt?

I'm only 25, it wasn't that long ago that I was a teenager too. I know it's hard, don't give up, and most importantly, don't get discouraged if you do make some mistakes -everybody does, if nobody made mistakes Jesus wouldn't have had to do what He did.

good luck.

Try it the other way around. I focus so much on good, I naturally pull away from the bad. Focus on Him only and go forward. Now that gets hard when 1/2 deaf hubby's favorite shows come on or the phone rings, or you're focused on answering an interesting question. You just have to stop and say a little prayer, then continue on in joy :)

First know you are not alone. People have fought this battle since Adam and Eve. Sit still, be quiet and wait on the Lord. Have a time where you can sit alone and pray. Ask Him for help, ask fellow believers for help. Find a friend you can trust and share with each other, support one another.
You are not losing, trust God.

Paul had the same problem. If you feed the good, you will find that the other (gradually) falls away. Remember that you are a child of God and deeply loved. I find that usually helps me--although, I'm certainly not free of sin.

It doesn't take strength to walk away from poor choices, trust in God that the choices you do make, are the right ones for you, listen to your heart, and you will find the right path to take. may God bless you and guide you.

It's always easier to follow Satan than Christ but it is worth the fight to follow our Savior.
Satan wants to drag you to Hell to suffer with him. Be strong and keep your eye on the prize(Heaven).

By putting all of your trust and faith in God, praying in Jesus's name that Satan leave you. Seek forgiveness from God and ask for strength to resist Satan. I will pray for you also.

I have no problem behaving kindly to my fellow humans and with living a good and peaceful life. You see, religion is NOT a prerequisite for good behavior and good morals. If you look at God's behavior, he is selfish, adulterous, and a murderer.
