18. You're independent at that age and can do whatever you want. You dont have to worry about "illegal dating" when it comes to dating older ppl. Plus high school and prior to high school, most ppl are immature and/or finding themselves.

im thinkin 16 because then both are mature enough. also, you can drive and not have the mom or dad drive you everywhere- how embarassing! haha but yeah 16= best age. and also when you're 16 you have a job and can pay for the dates. and i think it isnt really different for boys and girls, just both 16 or close in age at least

The previous posters are obviously not in touch with the real world since many adolescents begin having sex well before age 15 or 16, much less just dating.

I don't think it should go by age, but by how mature the parents believe the child to be. Maybe 14 for the mature, responsible ones and 16 for the ones who you worry about getting in trouble.

I think they should start to date at about 16. This way they have a better idea of what they want in a guy. I think they should be aloud a group date or to bring someone to your home at 15.

I think 16 at the youngest 17 is ok. Both guys and girls , if anything guys should wait longer, because they take longer to reach maturity.

wow,i really dont no..but i think 14 or 15 would be good, well that also depends on the person (girl, or boy) and the their partner...and i guess on the parents too...actually i started going out with my boyfriend Jake when i was 14 and I'm 17 now...its really depends on who u are and if ur ready for dating so thats all i can so ...for now...

i think 11 or 12 is a good age........i also think that it doesnt matter if its a boy or girl either way there is still some sort of danger for both of them so they should be able 2 start dating at the same age
