It's not an answer, but I think many atheists don't understand this point.

I see a lot of responses saying that we will not understand the beauty of the evolution because we don't have an open mind.

What I don't think many atheists understand is that many, if not most of us Christians, were born apart from God and didn't believe at one time. We grew up! (Maybe you didn't grow up enough.)

Were you a Christian in name only? I am a Christian because I askedfor forgiveness for my sins. I went down into the water to have my sins washed away. And when I came out of the water, I could fell that the burden of my sins was gone!!! That my friend is a true feeling of freedom!! Then I received the Holy Ghost 2 months later. I was speaking that heavenly language for days!! I couldn't stop! I didn't want to stop!! This is the high that I was looking for my whole life.. And it can be yours also. Let God do a miracle in your life!!

Amother quote from New Scientist June 1981

It is a false idea that the fossil record provides the most important part of the evidence that evolution took place. In fact, evolution is proven by a totally separate set of arguments-and the present debate within palaeontology does not impinge at all on the evidence that supports evolution." (Ridley, Mark [Zoologist, Oxford University], "Who doubts evolution?," New Scientist, Vol. 90, 25 June 1981, pp.830-832, p.830).

No, you don't get it. Being dragged to church every Sunday doesn't make you a Christian. Until you have purposefully accepted the Holy Spirit into your heart you are just taking up pew space. You can hear all the Bible stories in the world and still not understand.
It's like the difference between being able to describe the chamber of the heart and being able to performing open heart surgery.

when I say somebody is forcing their ideals onto others, I mean they're attempting to legislate their non secular ideals, thereby compelling others via government to stay with non secular doctrines they do no longer adhere to. The unusual area is, when I oppose such issues, this is seen as me wanting to inject "atheism" into government. removing government endorsement of any faith isn't comparable to having the government recommend atheism. enable's say you have been praying in a public construction, and an genuine informed you to stop, because of the fact what you have been doing became right into a criminal offense. that's a contravention of your rights, and that i could be on your area in unbelievable down any regulation that infringed on that ideal. yet on the opposite area, if there's a prayer in a public place and somebody informed me that i could desire to take part interior the prayer or be removed from the premises, then my rights have additionally been violated. that's what I mean via tension. Exchanges between persons may well be as tremendously or as grotesque because of the fact the members p.c., and that i've got not got any concern with somebody workout their ideal to believe despite they choose as long as they flow away me out of it. you may flow out and attempt to transform each non-Christian you come across, and that i actually do no longer care in case you do. yet once you get regulation in contact, then I also have a concern with it.

Here's what Christians DO understand:

1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you a car.

re: Your "Additional Comments"
If you are getting your spiritual information from "guys," I pray it's the "guy" Who died for your sins.

Even demons believe. You may have been raised as Christians. You may have believed. If you never received Jesus as your Savior, never had a living relationship with him, then you never got the point of what "accepting him as your savior" was all about.

If you did accept him, and did indeed have a living relationship with him, then you didn't just "stop believing." You simply rejected him.

I can be drowning and have someone throw me a lifesaver. I may have grown up being taught all about lifesavers. All about how they are a good thing to have when you're drowning. All about what makes them bouyant and why it makes sense that they can save my life.. but if I don't grab on to it, receive it, I'm gonna drown, despite my knowledge.

**EDIT** I may even BELIEVE with all my heart that the lifesaver CAN indeed save me... but if I don't reach out and grab that thing, my BELIEF, my knowledge, does me no good.

Atheists reject the Salvation of Jesus. You believe in nothing. Christians know the TRUTH and only want you to not have to suffer in Hell.
May Jesus guide you to the path of Salvation.

The problem arises from giving too much importance to the mythology and folklore of religions and not enough to their spiritual message, which is in fact their all important essence.

Wait until you will be close to the final encounter with the Creator... you will discover that you still believe!
