Bit having work experience always presents a problem for young people seeking employment. I would send a cover letter with my resume and briefly explain the lack of past employment and then go go to tell them "hoe you can be a benefit to their company." Give specific ways that you can help them in their business and state that you are capable and willing to work to gain experience in the area you are applying for. Most companies are willing to give a person with no experience a chance to prove themselves. That's why they have a ninety day probation period so that you and the company can see if you are compatible with each other. Good Luck,

If you have no experience in work then put down things that you have achieved or any clubs you are/have been a member of or any charity work etc. All these skills are transferable to the workplace. eg. you may have been involved in fund raising, explain how you organised and particpiated in that (that will show good organisation skills, dealing with the public and money, that you're a team player etc). These are the things employers like to see.

Volunteer experience- and maybe some intern experience if you have that. If none of these apply and you are a student, try to put down some awards and honors like:

-American Red Cross (start date to end date), Location, Volunteer coordinator name, your duties.

or-

National Honor Society (start date to present) Name of High School

You could put your educational achievements like this:
John Smith Highschool,
Anytown, USA
Graduated with Honors (May 2006)

You could put your activities and awards like this:
Highschool class Treasurer
Voted Most Likely to Succeed
Varsity football, Debate Team

You could list volunteer organizations you belong to and your role in them like this:
Habitat for Humanity, summer 2005
Built two houses, specialized in drywall

You can also list things that you're interested in like this:
I'd like to find a job where I can learn more about XYZ. I think XYZ is fascinating, and I want to learn everything I can about it so that I can become a ABC in this field.

Put down all the extra stuff you did in school, sports, club & organizations, volunteer work. List your attributes; what would make you suited to the job you are applying for. Use 3 or 4 personal references, like people from your church, school or scouts.
