The military is fighting in Iraq to stay alive and draw a paycheck.
Over 80% of Iraquis want US to go home!
Over 30% of the Iraqui parliment has never attending a meeting and live abroad.
Iraquis had a better chance of staying alive before the US got there.
Iraquis had a beter life even after 12 years of bombings and sanctions than before we got there.
The military is fighting so we can have some control over the energy fields, keep the dollar in some form that other nations do not dump it and mainly to dominate the region, just because Iraq was the easiest target we could get.
It is estimatyed we have fired over 1.25 million smalll arms rounds per dead Iraqui who make up the majority of those we have killed since we invaded.
Our military tactics and torturing of civilians and nationalist, there is no legal governemtn in Iraq and to have insurgents you need a legal government as the one appointed by
bushys is and never was legal before in history Occupier Rules) until we bribed other nations to say it is..
We have driven over 3.2 milion inhabitants out of country killed an estimate 650,000 , US estimates as we can't count or else real truth would be known, spray bulletsd everywhere and level half a city because one shot is fired from there and yet,
we are bringing democracy to Iraq.
Of course it is going to take newer, better and much more expensive weaponry for years yet and 14 permanent bases to bring it but what the hey, we are doing good in
Somolia and Phillipines aren't we?
5 years against a country with no military, no air force no navy and we are winning.
How do we win. Kill more enemy of course.

The United States Military has a clear technological advantage. And within the next year or two, I see some key changes coming to our Military as new technology is finally shipped out to front line troops (LandWarrior combat system, new Grenade launcher with Airburst capabilities, and Dragonscale Body Armor...) which should help the fighting troops cope with whats happening and hopefully keep more of them alive.
Insurgents have the advantage of not being known. They are civilians that are coming from other countries, as well as their own countrymen. They come from the militias that clerics have established. They aren't very well trained or armed (compared to the U.S. Military) however they are adapting their tactics and utilizing new techniques to bring Terror, Death and Destruction in new ways to not only the troops on the front line, but also to the civilians they are trying to bring into a civil war.
Needless to say.... it has been ugly, it will continue to be ugly, and I don't see an end to it for years to come.

You don't. They are complete opposites.
We fight for freedom, for liberty, for protection.
They kill for fear, for chaos, for destruction.
If for one second you put the two on the same plain you have a lot to learn and need to do some serious soul searching. Absolutely ridiculous
