How about the 711 Club?

I don't understand how Pat Robertson can say he talks to God like they are best friends hanging out on the weekends. Wouldn't that be considered blasphemy? Other thoughts....

I confess: I do. Not just 'Christian' radio, but televangelists on TV as well. We used to have the PTL Club with Jim and Tammy Bakker. Now we have TBN with the Jan and Paul Crouch. I watch them and I ask myself: why is Jan's hair so big? Why is it so frequently purple? Why does Paul Crouch seem so danged gay? (BTW: not a homophobic slur. I'm gay myself. Paul Crouch looks like every gay man in his late 60s I know. Down to the precious chain on his glasses)

We have Benny Hinn (aka - total charlatan in a white suit)

I know it isn't charitable to laugh at these buffoons. But how can I help it? They are just too funny for words.

And then I feel deeply sad. For them, and for the hundreds of thousands of people who give them money.

Radio, no. 700 Club, yes. Haven't seen it for a while, but have enjoyed Pat Robertson flipping out over controversial viewer letters/questions.

I used to listen to the LDS program, Music and the Spoken Word. The "spoken word" was often nonsense, but the music was delightful; the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is a first-rate musical organization, even if their religion is silly I have not been able to find a broadcast of it in the Seattle area..

I would never let anyone so vile as Pat Robertson be seen on my television.

No I never listen to christian radio.. I have better things to listen to like Pink Floyd, Rush, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Tool and Ozzy...

I don't know about blasphemy but if you or I said we had actual conversations with god, I think we'd be considered insane.

I don't find those shows funny at all. They are both sad and frightening.

confident! extraordinary! it rather is broadcast into each u . s . a . in the international so as that each and each individual could have an risk to pay attention the gospel of Jesus Christ! Philippians 4:8 (New worldwide version) finally, brothers, although is real, although is noble, although is ideal, although is organic, although is gorgeous, although is admirable—if something is spectacular or praiseworthy—think of roughly such issues.

Where we live, the local god-radio station likes to modulate their broadcast to interfere with other stations. So you could be listening to Pink Floyd and then suddenly, rudely be interupted by some freak ranting about how Jesus invented pretzels. Very annoying.

It is depressing that people who are supposed to be filled with love can so easily succumb to hate. I don't find very much of it comic anymore, except perhaps when a televangelist is on healing people.. Those are pretty fun at times.

YESS!! I always do that, and Sunday mass sometimes.

. yes i watch televangelists too, to me its more of a spectacle than for laughter, it just amazes me the degree at which people are willing to believe absurdities. i must admit though its funny when people stand up in front of all to praise the lord lol!, i feel embarrassed for them.
