I got the HD cable box for it yesterday.I'm using the 3 pronged component conectors for my tv connection and a super V cord for the dvd connection. Can someone tell me what the maximum performance settings for this tv would be? It is for my bedroom so I won't be connecting a home theatre setup.I was also told that HDMI cable boxes are available,is it worth my while to upgrade?

Performance settings : set to auto input...this will select the best screen setting for the input being given to it (1080i, 420p, 480p etc)

HDMI convenient connector for audio and HD video in one. Cannot say that I am thrilled at the performance over component cables for the cost invovled. Have a componet set up and hdmi at home and not much of a diff between the two when watching HD programming. In all fairness there may be a small diff, but wether that diff is worth a more expensive box and a MUCH more expensive HDMI cable is not something i have settled in with.
