Would it be something like this?
If someone finds me please remember, my owner is an idiot and please do not kill me for their mistakes. I”m just a dog. I depend on humans to keep me safe, to train me to be a good dog, to keep me up so I am not running loose. To show me love and warm. I’m just a dog, please help me be the best dog I can be.

As a last thought I believe they would have a prayer that would sound something like this :

Prayer of a Pit bull
Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals:
It is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding,
and acceptance to humans;
those who love us, and those who hate us.
That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are,
and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole, and not let the few tragedies shine brighter than the many great traits that we have. And those who would kill me,
let them know, I forgive them, even though I don't understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way.
Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given to me,
and my breed. Help those to know that I stand for
courage, strength, loyalty, and bravery.
And as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surely die defending them.
And just one last thing that I would ask:
Let my master know, that if you should call me away,
that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates until the one who chose me,
comes home.

I can't improve on yours, 1st Buzie's, and Scarface's comments. Those were the answers available when I came to answer your question. I remember back in 1980 or '81 when I moved into an apartment in rural East Texas, and not long afterwards a dog came around and I befriended it, and noticed it didn't have a collar or tags, so I took it to the vet to find out what breed of dog it was, and to get shots, etc., as necessary. When he saw the dog he asked me, "Do you know what kind of dog you have here?" I told him I thought it might be some percentage pit bull, and he said, "What you have here is a 100% pure pit bull female who is 6 months old." She was sooooo beautiful, in kind of an "ugly" sort of way, but I took her under my wing, feeding her and making sure she was okay. Later, one of my clients asked me if I knew where to get a good watch dog that she could get for their house on the highway. She said she had two young daughters that she wanted protection for, and wanted one that was friendly. I told her about my pit bull and told her that, living in an apartment, I didn't really have the best environment for such a healthy dog. I knew the woman and her husband, and told them I'd drive by their place to see if I "approved" of the possible new home, and I did. It was a nice country setting, with a mobil home and a very well fenced in front and back yard, and since I knew the woman and her husband and had NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that "my baby" would be well cared for, I let them have her. I've always missed her since then. I know she had a great home and a great life since I got to drive up and down that highway numerous times over the next few years before I moved away, but that she wandered up to my apartment when she was so young, and she looked so beautiful, in a pit bull way, and I took her to the vet to get her started on her vaccinations and got her her first tags and collar, well, how else is a "daddy" supposed to feel when he gives away "his best girl", even to a great family. I hope "my baby" was always happy that she met me and that I took care of her so well, and put her in a great home. Thanks for the memories. God Bless you.

I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what the question is, but I'm going to try and give you an answer. Dogs properly trained in protection sports have to have a drive, be it a prey drive or a food drive, if you have a dog that has a high drive you have a dog that has a chance at doing well in protection training. Any dog trained in protection training shouldn't be "human aggressive" The dog should be confident that when a situation arises that protection is needed, it can handle it. Of course this should happen when the dogs owner "tells" the dog to handle it. A human aggressive dog that just wants to bite any human, would have a hard time getting titled. P.S. I think the "helper" or the person that is agitating the dog, could use a little more training... I don't think it looks like he's doing a stellar job. My opinion of course. But as always... with the knowledge you have Greekman, I could be wrong :-()

I'd imagine they'd be saying something like this:

Why do you hate me when you don't even know me? Why do you blame me for being something I didn't choose to be? Why must I pay the price when YOU are the race that bred me to be able and powerful? You speak of equality, you speak of love. Where is it now?

I believe that's what they would say also. Really, if the dog was taught it's whole life that fighting is right then it's no doubt WHY they do it.

Dogs are like children, they have to be taught what's right and what's wrong.

M+M, do us all a favor and be quiet, okay? Nobody needs NOR wants to hear your smart-*** remarks. If you don't have anything nice to say, then DON'T say anything!

I agree with your statement. There are no bad dogs, just bad owners. The owners are just irresponsible jerks. I've seen poems like that before. Thanks for the reminder that pitts are puppys too.
