I've had it for 5 years and when I find something to cure it I will tell you. I've been on prozac, lexapro, risperdal and a bunch of other things to try and cure it. The problem is these aren't cures they only make you feel better but as soon as you go off them the symptoms are back. My boyfriend has been trying to help me as well but he gets really frustrated as well. There is no quick fix as much as I would like to believe. Prozac I found to be the best at 60mg a day but I decided recently that I was tired of blocking out the world and being content with not caring. I have bad days where I spend alot, eat and purge or yell at people but I learn from my mistakes and try and figure out what causes these sudden urges and triggers the depression. It will be different for everyone but talking about the experiences or writing them in a journal or blog helps me figure out what is causing the depression so I can stop it at the source. Running or roller blading helps to free my mind, finding ways to laugh helps to forget about my problems, forcing myself to get out of bed helps so I get some sunlight and get things done. If you have someone you can talk to someone I think that is the best or a therapist (even though I hate them I think they are only out for the money) they can help you figure out where your weak points are. I know depression hurts first hand and I feel I may always have bad days but I can learn to control it for the most part. But I realized I can't wait for other people to change it has to come from me. My boyfriend says fish oil helps or I have this multivitamin from Life Force that is supposed to help the brain. It contains N-Acetyl Cysteine, Hawthorn Berry, B vitamins, Milk Thistle, Ascorbyl Palmitate, L-Tyrosine, Choline, Insitol, DMAE, alpha-Lipoic Acid, MSM, Grape Seed, Coenzyme Q10, Ginko Bilboa leaf, Turmeric Rhizome...

The only way you can get rid of depression is by talking to expert
in the field. I have once a month, especially when all these bone
deceases started. I could talk it out, get feed back, advice cry etc.
A physciatrist has an M.D. and can prescribe meds, such as de-
pression pills for a chemical imbalance, anxiety, etc. & is covered by OHIP (Canada). A phycologist costs money and talk
is what you'd do, no M.D. Either way you must talk about what it
is r depressed about or it will EAT AWAY AT YOU. There's zero
you can go to either one of them, that they haven't heard before!
That's thier job, proffesion to help people in life is why they went to years of College, because they CHOSE to help the needs of "other's in their Mind" not a Family Dr. or anything, they are
equipped, interested, & long to help the lost soles so to speak.
Please go to one, you'll be glad you did, he can explore avenues
you never dreamed about, better yet give you Sanity, mine did!

Good Luck Sweety

Depression is a well that you alone are stuck in and besically nothing works (meds help but don't work). I believe depression is a chemical imblance in the brain, but it can also be situational. You have to ask yourself what is it in your life that is isn't going well for you and do everying in your power to fix it. Just maybe when you sort everything out, all of a sudden you will have a good realization like 'f**k I am happy!' and then you will feel light in your shoes.

Think possitive. Think of something you like, or start a hobby, but no matter what think possitive. Always look for the good in everything.
