Are you saying that the tax prep place accepted your return and gave you a refund anticipation loan, or that you got an IRS acceptance, and a refund from them? If it was the tax prep place, then do NOT spend the refund, they'll be looking for you to repay it.
You won't get in trouble, but will probably get a letter at some point from the IRS asking what the heck is going on.

I'm sure the paper one that you mailed will be cancelled out once they put your info in their computer from your return and see that you have already filed, and already received a refund. I highly doubt that they would issue another refund based on your paper return since you are already in the system as having filed. They do keep their computers updated...lol! Anyway, they will probably just send you a notice that your paper return was void since you efiled online and it will be over with. I would not worry about it at all----there is no way that the IRS will penalize you for filing the exact same return twice!

Sounds like the online place did a loan of some kind. Get a printout of the online form and compare it with your copy of the one you mailed. If they both say the same thing, you're in the clear. But as one of the other answers say, if you do get two refunds, be prepared to send the second one back.

Doubtful. Both returns should show the same thing, so the IRS will probably realize that you goofed. If you DO happen to get a second refund, call them IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT cash it, spend it, move it, endorse it, sniff it, love it...you get my point. You start acting like it's yours, you will look like a tax cheat.
