I think that you could lose 30lbs, but the main consern is how you do it. Anyone can starve themselves to death. What you have to be focused on is creating a new/active lifestyle. Go running in the morning before work and EAT HEALTHY FOODS (whole grains, fruits, vegetables, meats, etc...). There is no such thing as a lose weight fast diet. The best diet is the food pyramid. Making sure you get enough to eat, and that will help you reach your goals by excersizing, while staying nurished and healthy. Remember these things take time if you want to KEEP it off. Stay encouraged and stay true to yourself and you will do it before you even realize it, but make sure you excersize or diet the SMART way. Do some research, Know your facts, and you will be just fine.

As soon as possible? Well, if it's possible, then yes. It's not going to happen overnight, but if you are on a healthy diet, soon as possible could be about 4-5 months - losing at most 2 lb a week is considered healthy.

It is safe to lose no more than up to 5 lbs. a week. Any more than that is unhealthy and could cause you health problems. So if you want to lose 30 lbs., and you are consciously watching what you eat and are working out, it will take about 6 weeks. Good luck.
