i want a australian jeep thats made here in ohio,but the goober car dealer wont even talk to me.i told him the jeep plant is only 90 miles from here,all he ssaid was "cant do it".the aussie jeeps are badass!

Quite simple, really. They're not made to US safety and emissions standards.

Mercedes builds the entire global production of the ML series right here in the US, including the very sweet ML270D turbo-diesel sold widely in Europe. But you'll never get a Euro spec one in this country.

Many vehicles built for export do not meet the many emissions and safety requirements required to legally drive them here in the U.S. The other problem may be marketing exclusivity for the particular model.

you can't buy them becuase they are build in accordance with aussie specifications ie polution safety ect. It is illegal for them to sell you one that is not up to american(if you are in america) standards and safety regulations..Really not that complicated. You really want one ship one back from australia, good luck with the licence though...

You can't buy it here because it doesn't meet emissions and safety standards for the U.S.

they wont meet us epa standards you will have to go there get 1 and have it shipped back
