I was walking through Washington park in Denver, and I saw some sort of old, disconnected electrical device on a tree. It looked like a birdhouse without the hole, it was rusty, and it had a three-wire electrical cable, about an inch in diameter, and about four feet long, dangling out of it. It didn't look like a light fixture, or any typical device that I could ID. It was stapled about ten feet up on a cottonwood. What the hell is it?

I'm guessing it is a remote ballast for a light that used to be in the area.

A ballast is a current limiting device required for all types of discharge lights such as fluorescent, mercury vapour (most likely in this case), metal halide and sodium.

without getting too technical, you had a triangular concentrated transmutation, inflicting what's named a delicate riff. circumstances could desire to be acceptable for a delicate riff, it won't be in a position to be too cloudy, or too warm outdoors. The little women sweater, your daughter, and you created acceptable circumstances for the riff. The shadow is a manifestation of a spirit and is linked with the Park. examine the historic previous of the Park and you will discover the gentle spirit which you and your daughter concentrated that day. A gentle spirit is basically a mushy spirit, and that i don't be attentive to why this is no longer basically called mushy interior the 1st place. as quickly as you moved, have been given disillusioned, and greater people got here, the riff closed and the gentle spirit is as quickly as back trapped. till your daughter gets somewhat older, i would not flow to that Park till others are there with you. notwithstanding, in case you opt to work out the spirit riff back, then convey your daughter and yet another woman buddy an identical age as your daughter (not greater then one). Have them cover at the back of o.ok.trees approximately 50 yards aside in case you're 50 yards away forming a triangle. no person else may well be on the park. If it would not paintings then flow the girls closer mutually, mutually as you progression somewhat your self. With somewhat trial and mistake you will convey the riff into concentration back.

Sounds like tri-plex as the 3 wire cable. Used for electrical service, the enclosure you described could be a rain-proof disconnect. That's the reason for the little "roof" on top of it.

An old 4 minute warning siren? What the hell they thought we were going to do in 4 minutes I don't know. Boil an egg perhaps.

Sounds like it might have been a bomb. You probably should be calling PGE, or the local police and asking them... you might want to go back and make sure it's still there though. That away you don't seem like a complete tard if not!
