Things have really changed since I was little..and I would never let a young minor go to the mall with friends who are still so young.I did not say immature, cause many are more mature than any adult..but that is my point,..adults can be "unpredictable" and that is scary when you have a young impressionable human being, that Mom & Dad still need to finish raising.....(as an adult's perspective).....Take Care..

There were no malls when I was young but I couldn't date until I was 17. I had to be home at midnight and if I had a good excuse why I was going to be late, I had to call and face the consequences later. I was not allowed to go out with my friends at the local stores or the teen hangout until I was 17. At 17 I was a senior in high school.

16-17 years old. No kid under the age of 15 should be alone without an adult around. I'm 23, and I can honestly say that my kids will NEVER do that at such a young age. I want to know what my kids are doing, and your parents want to know too. They want to protect you from being hurt. They are your parents and they do love you. You may not understand that at a young age, but wait until you are older and not living with her anymore. You opinion will change, drastically.

Go to the mall alone: 15 years old.
Date: 16

As much as i hate to admit it, I think she made the right decision. I see 13 and 14 year old girls now adays and I wonder if they have mothers.. they wander around malls wearing practically nothing, walking around with boys.. and you think to yourself: Do I want my little girl to be like that; to try to grow up too fast?

never felt the need to go out with my friends to the mall. i started going to bars when I was 14. I never asked for permission but I always told them about my plans. I wasnt a rebel so I guess that's why they let me do my things.
