Im going to Hawaii(Kauai) in two weeks and Im going to pop the question. I need a clever idea how to do it, anyone got any ideas? ladies you answer first, I want to hear what you would want.

maybe you could make a special lei with all sorts of things that are related to your memories and the ring. Give to her at sunset on the beach, after a luau or something. then you could talk about the meaning of a lei, then say some about your memories "remember the time when..." and talk about why it special or important, then show her the ring, now it's remember the time when I asked you to marry me. Just a thought

alot of hotels in hawaii put out daily activit newsletters for all the guests. arrange for them to print the proposal in the newsletter. or go to coconutgreetings.com and have them write the proposal on a coconut. or take her to a luau and have them pull her onstage. propose on stage in front of everyone. The Oceanarium Restaurant at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki has a three story wall aquarium filled with sea creatures. They have a diver that goes into the aquarium to feed the fish several times a day. You can request a tank side table and a fish tank sign with your proposal. The diver will place a sign with your proposal in the tank by your table. Call 922-1233 for reservations.

I suggest that you involve a lei and some ti leaf. If it were me, i'd love to wake up one morning to find a beautiful engagement ring amidst some beautiful flowers and ti leaf. The world is your oyster, you could propose to her at one of the many beautiful vistas on Kaua'i, or at dinner, at the beach, or in the car? Oh, and don't forget music. I saw one story of the guy worked with hotel conierge to spell out marry me "name" on a beach and then he took her up in a helicopter ride around the island with that as their last stop. Very sweet and thoguhtful.
take her snorkeling and and have one of the divers place the ring in a big clam shell in a spot thats marked with say a booie...dive down there together and point out the clam shell (just make sure you secure the ring inside well)
Low key nice romantice dinner at sunset for two on the beach. There are services ont he island that prepare and serve you a meal on the beach for around $100 per person.

If it was me getting propsed to in Hawaii it would be at sunset on the beach. That would be so romantic

wait until just as the sun is setting make sure you are on the beach get down on one knee and propose
