Genesis: 16
15: And Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ish'mael.
16: Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ish'mael to Abram.
So, Abram was 86 when Ism’mael was born

Genesis: 17
16: I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her; I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her."
17: Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said to himself, "Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"
a)Abraham was 100 years when he was first told about Isaac. So Ish’mael is 14 (=100-86)
b)How dare could Abraham laugh from and fleer his God’s word? But let’s continue

Genesis:17
21: But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season next year."
At the time of Issac’s birth “at this season next year” Ish’mael would be 15=(14+1)

Genesis: 21
8: And the child grew, and was weaned; and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
9: But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, playing with her son Isaac.
10: So she said to Abraham, "Cast out this slave woman with her son; for the son of this slave woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac."
So, Ish’mael was 15 at Isaac’s birth as mintioned before, and when Isaac was weaned he was at least 16 be cause no one is weaned in less than 1 year and even if it’s less than that your God won’t say “And the child grew”. At that time Ish’mael and Hagar were cast out.

14: So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.
15: When the water in the skin was gone, she cast the child under one of the bushes
So, Ish’mael (the child ???!!!) was on Hagar’s Shoulder, one will say “no, It’s the bread and the skin of water?” this is not correct as this is not a site for bread. Besides your God says “she cast the child under” and this is only done with something high in position before it’s casted under something else
Logically, How would a STRONG MAN at the age of 16 AT LEAST be left?? You know that Alexander the Great Invaded the world when he was about that age. How would your minds accept that???

Genesis: 21
17: And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, and said to her, "What troubles you, Hagar? Fear not; for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
18: Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him fast with your hand; for I will make him a great nation."
Another strong evidence that he was lift up “Arise, lift up the lad”

Again Here's the question, I think nearlly all of us know that when Hagar and his son Isl'mael were cast out when Ish'mael was still less than 10 years old as in the word (child) seen above. But the question I've posted prooves that he was 16 AT LEAST at that time and he was left up by his mother???
How could such story becomes against the logic?? this means that the bible is truly CORRUPT.

It's saying he gave to Haggar the bread and water and the boy.
(14 So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away.kjv)
( 14 Early the next morning Abraham got some food and a bottle of water. The bottle was made out of animal skin. He gave the food and water to Hagar. He placed them on her shoulders. Then he sent her away with the boy.nirv) ETC.

Lift up the boy. Meaning take him and encourage him that he will grow into a great nation.

Ishmael was 19 years old and Isaac was 5 when Ishmael was not just picking on Isaac.
This was a serious form of persecution that could have cause Isaac his life at the hands of Ishmael.
Both women's were blessed by God because they became mighty nations.
Ishmael being 1/2 Egyptian and borne from a slave was set back to Egypt because of his murderous taunts against Isaac.
When Abraham died, both Ishmael and Isaac buried him with Sarah which could indicate that this persecution was instigated by Hagar herself.

Logically, how could you think the bible was saying he put a 16 year old on her shoulder? You've misinterpreted (deliberately no doubt) what is being communicated, the on the shoulder part definitely refers to the bread and water. My wife has a portuguese bible it says:

14 Então, se levantou Abraão pela manhã, de madrugada, e tomou pão e um odre de água, e os deu a Agar, pondo-os sobre o seu ombro; também lhe deu o menino e despediu-a; e ela foi-se, andando errante no deserto de Berseba.

It translates as follows: So Abraham got up in the morning, early, and got bread and a [container] of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them over her shoulder; he also gave her the boy and said good bye;

I know you don't understand it, but see if any of your muslim brothers in portuguese speaking countries try to make hay out of this passage. They won't because it's so much more obvious what Abraham did in this language. It may be that you can only try to make hay out of it in english and no other language. Greek being what it is is too complicated a language to render the actual thought so ambiguous.

EDIT: to your other question, the passage makes it clear they were in a wilderness, had run out of water, and ishmael was dying:

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Gen 21:15 ¶ And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

Gen 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against [him] a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against [him], and lift up her voice, and wept.

16 or 50, you do need water to continue to be strong. Hagar was there and I'm pretty sure she was smart enough to figure out that her son was dying.

One of the hardest passages to interpret is the verses you have just used. I am not answering this question as much as giving you information on the writing in Hebrew.
God had promised Abraham that he would be the father to many nations. When Abraham told Hagar to leave, God had promised to take care of the son of the handmaid, That's found in Gen.21:12,13.In the words "for he is thy seed"

Abraham was not left to destroy Ismael. Now for the next section: verse 14 and placed them on her sholdier. Abraham provided for her immediate need and he knew because of verse13 that God would provide for them.
The wilderness is here proleptically designated as that of Beersheba, although according to verse 31, apparently, this name was first bestowed upon the well and the region later.
Sam is an instance of asyndeton (for"and put") uses epexegetically: "he gave"---(namely) "he put" (K,S. 370 m.).
She ran out of water in verse 15,16:
The lad (according to 16:16 combined wiiith 21:8 ) was at least seventeen. Hebrew writers have tried to rearrange this text to clearify and further their view many times.
Meek on the other hand renders "taking some bread and a skin of water, he gave them to Hagar, along with her son, and putting them on her shoulder,"etc. the Hebrew order is as translated above. these words may be so construed as to make the words "AND THE LAD" to be the object of "PUT." But they may well equal grammatical properties be construed so that "AND THE LAD" is the object of the preceeding verb "GAVE"
Given also that the lad was a teenager you would have to assume the bread and water were placed on her shoulders.

In verse 16 they ran out of water and the maid was heart broken
She cried "i cannot look upon the death of the lad.'Al-'er'eh literally, "let me not look"

The Facts of the story and to answer your question: It was not a harsh happening. God was in control and the next verse his plan is revealed. God's plan was intact. You will find in the old testament, rulings were very strict. I hope this is what you are seeking

Hagar left Ishmael behind to continue on. "Take up the lad by the hand" does not distinguish age. Perhaps, at 16, Ishmael was not as strong a lad as you assume. Hagar, by the way was Ishmael's Mother.

You need a better topic question, its hard to find the question here. The questions, the way I read it is, how can the Bible have the right time or be true if Hagar's son survived to 16?

I'm not Christian so I would answer, its not true, he couldn't have.

What's the question? Can a 16 year-old be left? Well, I guess they can. Just because one guy was strong at 16 doesn't mean all or any are. What's your real question? What point are you trying to make? I'm curious.

It was bread put in a sack and water put in a skin that they both were hung on her shoulder such as a sling. The lifting up the child part is helping him to his feet..he was dehydrated and couldn't walk.

You dorkle. He didn't put the child on her shoulder. It's saying Abraham put the bread and water on her shoulder and on the child's shoulder. Inother words, he gave them each some. He probably wanted to give them as much as he could so he had them both carry it.
