I think you can insert a moving image, but I don't know about a movie. If you want to display a movie you can use an S cable and a powerpoint projector. Then display the movie in Windows Media Player.

Nick & LG are correct.
If you want to share this with someone from a computer other than where the ppt file was created, you'll need to send the movie to them, along with the ppt file, and have them re-insert it, so that their computer will look for it in the right location.
