How can you look at the conversations of someone who has been talking on yahoo chat. My 17 year old step?

daughter said she goes on there to talk only. I want to know what she is talking about. Is there anyway i could get inside my compter and look at what she is typing about. thank you very much. Only serious answers please.

If you can get into her account and get her username and pass, or even answer her secret questions and reset them(username and password), you can log into yahoo messenger and enable archiving. If she doesn't know you've done it you could find out quite a bit by reading the archived conversations.

first of all know that it is illeagal to monitor the conversations with out her knowledge, its just like tapping her phone line..

with that out of the way, you would need to install a keylogger software, some may be found on download.com if you dont pay for the software there will proballay be some sort of warning so it wont be completely running in the background, but a good keylogger will catch both ways of almost every instant message program out there, and every keystroke of the keyboard, so you would end up with websites visited and passwords for email etc... depends on how far you want to go... there should be trust, and open communication, you shouldnt do this except as a last resort.. as i said above it is not legal, and as you said she is a step daughter its proballay even more morallay wrong..

If the parent or guardian of a minor suspects (as you obviously do) that their charge is being exposed to some threat then their duty of protection to them becomes more important than dubious legal or "moral" considerations.
