We did a family comparison of all the brands of cola we could get our hands on. It was a blind test in paper cups with numbers written on the bottom to match up to the soda bottles. All were cold. All were filled in the other room. All were brought out on a tray and then shuffled around.

The trick was to find which everyone preferred and could they really tell one from the other.

It turns out that everyone hated the supermarket brands and Coke beat Pepsi. After that we avoided the supermarket ones and stuck to Coke. It was the casual equivalent of a life-altering experience.

I worked at Starbucks for a while and we did these all the time in our store. We did it for different coffee roasts, frapps, and espresso drinks. they offer lots of the same flavors in different concentrations and preparations. Like regular Frapp vs. Frapp Light which uses sugar substitute.

Yes. My step brother always drinks Pepsi and I'm a die-hard Coke fan. We conducted a taste test once and I & he could both tell which was our favorite. :-)

Coca-Cola from Mexico (old recipie) and from America (new recipie).
The old stuff wins hands down! The flavor was richer and less sugary.
