Eight people survived the Flood. Population statistics show that by the time of Christ, there were about 250,000,000 people in the world, which would be expected from a group of 8 people reproducing exponentially over a period of 2400 years. A normal growth curve has occurred since the time of Christ, with populations rising gradually until this last century, when it really took off. This is normal exponential growth, just like putting a little bit of money in a mutual fund at first will grow slowly at first, then eventually explode.
This is also used as evidence that evolution over millions of years could not have occurred, since it assumes that human populations stayed stable for millions of years without any exponential growth, which is not possible.

The Bible talks relating to the human beings on the different portion of the flood. It rained 40 days, and interior of 40 days of the main heaviest rain, it does no longer be adequate water to hide each mountain on earth. Who the place the human beings on the different portion of the flood? They have been the human beings who weren't tormented by the flood. The flood replaced into in one portion of the earth. human beings some time past pronounced that the international replaced into sq., and in case you reached the top you will possibly fall off, yet Christopher Columbus positioned that at as quickly as. might GOD be so depraved to destroy human beings in different areas of the international through fact they did no longer pay attention the witness of Noah, or through fact they could no longer holiday to the land the place the ark replaced into? it fairly is like saying Adam and eve the place the 1st human beings on earth, yet Cain went to the land of nod and located a spouse??

If it had happened it would mean a lot of family intermarriage. However, I think the story is just a fable like the many different flood stories you can find in all cultures.

Don't worry about it. The Christians will tell you that we're not supposed to take the bible literally anymore, it's just a set of stories from which we can interpret our own meaning. But they still reserve the right to get upset when a nasty scientist has the audacity to contradict something in the bible.

I don't believe the flood was world wide. I think the writer thought it was because back then that area was the whole world to them.

Luckily its not real, so we can say that they did anything. How about waved a magic wand and more people suddenly appeared. if water can magically appear then why not people?
