its the american fringe, they usually cut right above the forehead, sometimes they cover the eye a little. You also have side bangs that can be put to the side and tucked behind your ear

"Bangs" are also known as "fringe"...the part of the hair that is over the front of the face, normally over the forehead. Hope this helps!
