Its my senior year and i moved to a new state just before the school year started. Prom is in two months and i had planned on going back to my old high school to thier prom to hang out with all my friends and then going to my new school's prom as well. BUT...they are on the same day. It is impossible for me to go to both b/c they are so far apart. I have friends in both schools that want me at their prom. I am not dating anyone right now so I am not obligated to go to either of them...the choice is completely up to me. Should I go be with my two best friends from my old school whom i don't get to see very often? or go to MY senior prom with my new friends whom i don't know as well.

i would go to the old school to get to meet your good old friends that you dont get to see very often. you will also get to have a better time with better buddies. if you go to the one at your new school then you will be sitting out most of it most likely. and you do not know as many people.

just my two cents

I moved my senior year as well. I stayed and went to prom with the class that I was graduating with. My reasons were actually very simple. You may not see your friends often, but that isn't your school anymore. You can see your friends outside of the school prom. Besides, there is so much pressure to look good and find the good guy to dance with, you may not actually have a good chance to sit there and talk to your friends. Isn't it better to plan a girl day with them and go hang out and all your old places rather than doing it in the midst of the pressures that is "senior prom"?

Besides, that isn't your school anymore. You know the people in your school now. You know what is going on at the school. You are a part of that school, so you would be more a part of that prom. You aren't in the other school anymore, and in some ways, you may feel slightly lost. Also, you may get very homesick during prom and you may end up having an awful night.

My advice is to go to the prom where you are going to school now, but plan a day with your friends where you can go to all the places you want to without any pressure of prom or anything else. Sit down with them and talk about the things that have been going on with you and listen to what's going on with them as well. It's a better situation than at a prom.

I would go to the old one; it's your senior year, and you may not keep in touch with all your old buddies after graduation.

I moved a couple years ago to a new state and I wish I could go to my old school's prom.

OR.... you could compromise. Go to your prom, and then go to see your out of state friends graduate, and hang out with them for a few days.

Dud, go to your senior prom first and then go to the other one. Your senior prom is like a once in a life time epirience

you may could flow as a "date" of a pupil...the two a pal or an actual date. additionally, attempt to be below the age that the college enables dates (my boyfriend, now husband of 11 years, 19 years later became too previous to flow). I went with a guy pal. For me, the night became a waste of my time and money. i'm happy I went so as that i ought to assert that nonetheless. My husband on no account have been given to flow to his.

Which prom do you think you'd have more fun at? You just have have to think about that. It's a really tough decision but you have to think about what would be the best for you.

I would go to whichever one you will be most comfortable at; what i mean is that if you will have a better time with the people at your old school, then go to that one and vice versa.
