There are no instructions with the pan so I don't know if I should use a nonstick spray or just pour in the batter. I don't know if I can trust that the pan is really non-stick The brand is Oneida.

I would "season" the pan even though its non-stick. You can do this by rubbing Crisco in it for the first baking. After that you should be ok. My experience, though, is that even those advertised as non-stick do stick sometimes, so I always spray anyway!

if it says nonstick it must be non stick . also if you wish to clean your pan before washing it and get rid of that bad smell it gives of , here´s a tip put the pan on the heat and add salt to the pan. leave it like this for 5 to 10 min´s less if you like . don´t worry the pan won´t burn nor will the salt burn then take of the heat wipe with a kitchen towel then use you will then notice there is no smell. Happy cooking, PS if it´s nonstick remember only use plastic or wooden cooking utensils

Oneida isn't really the best brand. Using a LITTLE non-stick spray will not hurt.

you really should put non stick spray on your pan because I used a pan just like yours and my muffins were in peices when I took them out.

I shouldn't think you would have to if it is a really good one. Just be careful when you wash it. Don't scratch it or you will have to use a little butter or oil lol
