Help! I need some advice. My boyfriend recently broke up with me to get back together with his ex whom he had been hanging out with for a couple of months. The news was really upsetting to me and I didn't know the two had been hanging out. A couple of days ago I had a conversation with him in which he apologized for everything and for not telling me. He seems to have been fairly honest about some of the other things in our relationship. Since then, he's pretty much been considerate about coming to get his things when I say its a good time etc. He said he still wanted to be friends and I agreed to try it. What do you think? The thing is, I'd really like to give it a try at least. Does anyone have any advice/rules about being friends with an ex?

The one rule I live by in this regard is at all costs, don't be flirty with your ex, and don't encourage it if your ex is flirty with you.
