Here's how the NIV translated Isaiah 14:12...calling satan the morning star....umm, Jesus is the real Morning Star!! Do you see the confusion a new believer would have? It should be son of the morning or dawn, Not morning star.
Isa 14:12 -
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
Rev 22:16 -
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
The NIV is flawed even to the point of making satan equal with Christ!!! That is an error that can't be ignored. It was intentional!! People need to get rid of this flawed translation.

Mostly its fine - I'm doing a postgrad in theology at Oxford Uni and I use it a lot
But it is quite sexist - sometimes translating words that have no gender in the original language it was written in into the male tense to imply that it's more about men than was intended.

There is nothing wrong with the NIV Bible. As a
matter of fact, it lets those people understand the
bible more. The bible has now reached all around
the world. I love it.

Nothing I use that Bible along with the Catholic bible and I have found nothing wrong with it

They misconstrue the Bible. If you compare the KJV Bible with this one, and look at it passage for passage, they leave out so much.

Nothing really, just a translation of a translation. In prefer a direct translation so that I can be sure that nothing is omitted.

It calls the Almighty bad names. His name is YHVH. The Messiah's name is YAHOSHUA!
