I know where you are coming from. There are a lot of hair products out there and it's really hard to choose. It really depends on what shampoo you use. If you are using cheap low quality ones, they will do nothing. If you want it straight, then buy special shampoo for it, same for curly hair. I use Garnier Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner and it works pretty well. Another good brand is Sunsilk. Try the blue kind-- it's anti-pouf. And if you buy the whole kit (shampoo, conditioner, and hair creme) it helps dramatically. You should also try flat ironing your hair, they're not even that expensive. Well, I guess this is enough. Good Luck with your hair.

I had exactly the same problem, I have very thick hair that becomes bushy especially when blowdried but I discovered that either you can...
a) wear it curly-put on hair serum while it is wet, then comb it through and let it dry naturally or in a plait and it should curl nicely but not harden or bush. DON'T brush it through once it's dry because then it will go insanely bushy and ruin the curls .

OR b) wear it straight....put on hair serum while it's wet then let it dry/ quickly blow dry before straightening it. I agree with the person before, GHDs are a godsend so get those if u can. Or of course Babyliss have equally amazing ones that are just under half the price.

Hope that sheds some light!

Maybe you should wear a shower cap inside the shower because it seems that your hair isnt fine and straight. Same thing happens to my hair, so wear a shower cap and to bed you should oil it and put on a silky bonnet or wrap, because the cotton on your pillow will make your hair bushy around the edges.

well it doesn't sound like a hair net is a good idea, since you are washing your hair...some people don't read well...

ask a stylist at a good salon to recommend a product
also, if they recommend something that they do not carry, this would be ideal advice since they are not trying to sell you something of theirs

and thank you for washing your hair !!! LOL

I don't know what country you are in (I am in the UK) but get the Boots straightening kit (you can get it on eBay if you are abroad).

It doesn't actually make your hair straight (I should know, I used to have afroman hair) just cutely wavy and much less frizzy and it actually makes the condition of your hair better!
