I'm about to marry a man with two cats. I adore the cats but am badly allergic to them. Any advice on how to deal with the allergies so I am not miserable?

Hello, I have 2 cats also and I am allergic to cats too. My mom and dad's house have 2 cats also and I have Banished the cats from our bedroom and that Helps big time as well as taking some type of allergy medicine ( ask ur allergist what medicine will work best for you). Have someone give them a weekly bath with a specially made washcloth that you can find in a petstore since most cats do not like water.It is the dander that your allergic to as welll as their saliva. There isnt much you can do but you can find information about cat allergies on the internet. Good Luck

Sorry to say it, but get rid of the cats.
Sure there are things you can do to prevent the allergies but does a monthly shot and/or daily medications sound fun for the next however many years? Quite a price to pay just to have cats around.

I think u can go to the doctor and get shots or medicine for pet allergies. If not he will have to get rid of the cats. Good luck with the marriage!
