The desired hormone levels can be so different for everyone where skin is concerned; it's really a matter of trial and error. I had good luck with Yasmin, myself.

The one that was being touted a few years ago was Ortho-Tricyclen. But there are different kinds out there so it may be a bit of trial and error as one of the other posters said. I found that for me that as far as birth control pill that Desogen and it's generic Ortho-Cept did pretty good. I've also been taking multi-vitamins: prenatal vitamins to be exact.

I get my prenatal vitamins OTC from Wal-Mart and yes, I did check with my dr to see if it was ok to use them although I've never been pregnant nor have any intent to. She said it was and I was told that some of her other patients use them too.

A pharmacist at the local Wal-Mart also told me that a prenatal vitamin was the best vitamin a woman can take for herself.

Yasmen. My daughter was put on it for other reasons but got the added bonus of very clear skin.
