Shopping, theatre, restaurants, concerts, celebrities, landmarks, a great public transportation system and a special today - adopt a furry pet at the Greenwich Village KFC.
This is the most diverse and exciting city in the world

Too many reasons to list but here are some of mine:
-The food! you can experience almost every type of culinary delight in NYC
-Freedom of expression- There is no "fashion style" in NYC everyone dresses to their own taste and comfort
-Pride- New Yorkers are proud of their area and the diversity of culture is 2nd to none more than any city
-Landmarks- There is no other city that defines it's landmarks more than NYC (like the empire state, central park, statue of liberty, the chrysler building, times square to name a few)!
-Service- Service is fantastic almost wherever you go. Hotels, restaurants etc fight to get your business and those who are "the best" will. I have yet to find the service of any other city in the US and some abroad that can compare.
Like I said, there are too many but these are my top reasons.

It's the Capital of the World. No place compares, and their are millions of reasons to visit. Anyone who has not visited NYC, has not experienced life!

My personal reason would be the people. New York has been the quintessential "melting pot" for over a century, and it still is a city of immigrants today. People from all over the globe give the place an excitement and vitality you just don't find anywhere else.

It's never dull, there's always something to do. You could live there all your life and still never be bored. On top of the touristy stuff, there are so many amazing shops and cafes, and the people are diverse.

wow I cant think of a reason why someone wouldn't, the shopping, the statue of liberty, the broklyn bridge, seeing ground zero, broadway, the food, the list can go on and on.
