Most cd/dvd buring software holds the data in buffer, after ripping
the dvd, so you then put your blank in, and it writes from the buffer.

Is the CD Drive, a burner or regular cd drive, if regular then you need to install a CD Burner Drive into the PC..

first you need to make sure your player is a dvd burner --- just because you have roxio doesnt mean you have a burner -- look @ the player it should say dvd/writer or something to that affect hope this helps -- if you do have a burner just follow instructions from roxio to burn dvds
