You skin is your largest organ. When you tan, you are doing some damage to it. The body needs to expend effort to repair it, so in addition to being dehydrated, this is probably what is going on.

Do we assume you stretch out on a chase lounge to tan ?
Or out on the ground?
You have back problems if your legs go numb.
But remember that you just spent time totally still,, your body exposed to natures (were you nude?) elements and absorbed the energy of freedom and liberation.
Now that you know about relaxation keep a timer with a loud alarm in case you doze off.
If you have such opportunity I challenge you to NO tan LINES.

sometimes feeling the warmness of the sun on you it makes you feel very sleepy like snuggling in a warm blanket, so it can make sense to make you sleepy. as for the numbness, that doesnt sound healthy, i would ask about it.

Cause the sun dehydrates you and you feel tired. And relaxing makes you feel tired, and you tend to drift off to sleep.

That happens to me too! When I go on vacation to Mexico or Hawaii, almost every night I'm too tired to go to dinner.

It could be dehydration. So make sure to drink plenty of water.
