A baby sling! They've found out that the baby carriers that spread out the babies legs are causing hip joint problems for the babies, and back pain problems for the parent carrying the baby around. A sling spreads out the baby's weight across your back, so you can carry your little one around ALOT! Also, If mamma decides to nurse, well, baby is right there in position for the ultimate in privacy and "modesty".And, it's so very easy to hold the baby while sitting down, if your arms get tired or if you fall asleep you don't have to worry about dropping the little guy. :)
Another thing I would recommend is an exercise ball/Birthing ball. Very handy before birth for mom's comfort and helping baby stay positioned properly (ewww, get rid of back labor!) and afterward, it's one more motion to help you if your baby is colic-y or whatnot. (again, that's when the sling comes in handy too!)

Dex Wipe Warmer........so much more comfortable for the little baby's bottom. And it warms from the top down, so it does not dry out the wipes and it does not need those pillow things in it.
First Years Bottle Warmer......so easy my husband can use it..LOL. nice, easy to use, and warms bottles perfectly.
Munchkin Food Grinder (the crank one). Perfect for after you are done with stage 2, but not ready to chew food yet.
Playtex Ventaire Bottles.....air free, smooth feeding. No nipple collapse or bubbles. I love them.
Huggies Overnites (in a size larger then the baby normally wears) they really do keep a baby dry for 10 hours at a time while sleeping (if you can get your baby to sleep that long. we got lucky).
Onesie Extenders.....simple little pieces of cloth, come in packs of 3 with 3 different size snaps. Make shirts fit longer, gets more wear out of clothes, and allows things to fit when you shrink them.

I agree that the HALO Sleepsack Wearable Blanket was great! I also recommend http://babytobee.excellentabc.com for new parents as it will give you a lot of free samples and coupons on all kinds of baby products. It really helped me find what products to get for my kids.
Hope that helps you

Definately the sling. My nephew is now 19 months and I had him every weekend last summer. He was so clingy that I couldn't get anything done. I found a sling and it was a godsend. He hated shopping carts, so this made it possible to go to stores without him screaming!
Oh, and the Britax Marathon. I have one that I use for all my friends kids. LOVE IT! So easy to use and it goes to 65lbs. Can't beat that.

Swings! My 4 month old twins live in their swings! They are the greatest things ever! My second would have to be the bouncy seats.
We just got a bumbo seat a few days ago... it is great too so far!

I love out pack n' play. I didn't have one with our first 3 kids, but we had one the last time and now I don't know what I did without one before!

The Wipe Warmer. In this cold weather, it keeps your baby wipes or washclothes warm in the car or in your purse, so no more chilly willies!
