Why do many young girls think if they get pregnant, it will save or strengthen their relationship? Aren't they aware that it's one thing that totally scared the guy off?

They get desperate. Most the time they don't actually mean it. If their relationship is on the rocks they think drastically. Men do it to. I had a guy tell me "I was thinking, if I had gotten you pregnant then maybe we could have stayed together and worked things through" Freaked me out then but now I realize it's just the way the mind works against you when scared and desperate.

I will tell you from my experience that being with a guy who has kids with someone else is a horrible burden on you and your relationship with the dad. It may be okay for now since it is just a baby but when that child gets older it can get more difficult, the child could decide to come to live with you, now you are stuck being a mom to someone elses kid. Child support and court battles are not just a stress on him but on the relationship and on you emotionally. As I said before may not be a problem now but it could be in the near future. You may think you love him now, and you may, but all the stuff that comes along with it may turn you away from him regardless of your feelings for him. You would be better off leaving now before you get closer with him or too comfortable to leave. Its not just a short term thing, 18 years you will have to deal with the child and his mom. Then that is also 18 years that the dad will be dealing with his ex. Who knows how she will be, could you deal with them texting and fb messaging eachother every day and having constant contact? Its a tough situation and really not worth it in the long run. You can do better and find a guy who doesn't have all this drama and can actually afford to take you out. Honestly this guy sounds like a looser to me and you don't deserve to settle for someone like that.

Its unfortunate that this happens but when a girl gets that idea in her head its hard to say anything that is gonna change her mind. I dont know why some girls think like that, but in a way, unless the guy is a total bum scum bag, that guy will always have some kind of contact w/ that girl because of the kid. The girl just dosent realize that they wont always have a romantic relationship

I was thinking the same thing the other day. This is totally bull... Maybe they feel that the commitment of having a baby means having commitment with the relationship.
I wish they can realize that having a baby doesn't make them more sexier or more lovable for their boyfriend.

Young girls now think that, in that is really stupid. But I think that they do that so you are going to have to be in her life. Even if you don’t want to. How, well even if you broke up with her, you are going to deal with child support or visitation rights in other. How to prevent this use protection, and never live it up to her to protect herself.

I really don't think they believe that they would leave if she told them that she was pregnant. and is probably hoping for them to marry them. but not all women do that.
