I think there is a City Guide in the Sunday Chronicle that lists popular restaurants.
I suggest you check the potential places out first-hand, without guests, to see what the menu looks like, the kind of place it is, what the possibilities are, etc., to make sure everyone will be comfortable in there.
Many restaurants have special rooms for groups and so on, and you can set things up with the manager/owner ahead of time, even to choosing menu options, centerpieces/decorations, and figuring out a cost per guest.
You'll want to consider the people involved, whether there will be kids and if so whether the restaurant will have some kind of entertainment factor for them. They'll be excited and restless, so .. you know...
I hope everything goes well, and please remember my motto:
"No wedding, no matter how well-planned and rehearsed, goes off without a hitch."
