Carrier oils are not rated for consumption, whereas edible oils have to pass more rigorous testing and processing for eating. This makes carrier oils more inexpensive; they're not as pure.

I make my own lotions, soaps, etc., and have tried buying the oils in the Denver Metro area. Things like sweet almond oil were really pricey. I've been buying things from Brambleberry in Washington state for the past seven years and have been extremely happy with the price, products and availability. A very, very wonderful company! They also sell some fantastic soap and lotion bases that you can add extra oil to. Check out the links to recipes there, too! Actually, they have such great lotions and stuff that the only thing you may want to add is some of the scents they sell.

This is a really fun site with an extremely honest, caring company. I think you'll enjoy the products.

specific you may easily do this. olive oil and sesame oil are in many circumstances used. do no longer used heavy sesame with a string nutty odour however as this could mask the essential oils. attempt grapeseed oil, in case you will detect it yet any mild odourless cooking oil will do.
