For the record, I am Atheist and opposed to this form of child abuse. I just figured I'd get more honest answers without stating my position.

No, that's horrible! Do not teach them that! Would Jesus take children to a Hell House, or would he love them and teach them the good things?

This is silliness. My children and those of my Christians friends brought their children up with love for God. What you are saying is why not take your child to a jail and let them see how criminals live so they don't commit a crime when they get older. How foolish. Christians don't go around thinking about Hell all the time, only when atheists bring it up constantly. We teach our kids how God loves them and when the time is right about Heaven.

NO!!! My parents read me the bible and that was enough to scare me to be good. I don't think that will teach your children anything. You may cause them to rebel and turn satanic at a later age. So no you should'nt take them to a hell house. I think you should try sunday school or read them the bible, the word of God.

I wouldn't ask you to commit a crime, like rape or murder, so you can understand it is wrong. And I wouldn't jump from a building just to know it would kill me...so no, I wouldn't take my child to a "hell house" just so they understand a point.

1. Thats child abuse.

2. All it is is a bunch of people screaming and acting like idiots.

3. I have better things to do with my time (and theirs) than try to convince them to be scared of something that doesn't exist.

NEVER.... I quit going to a church that we started going to when we moved because they had one of those awful things

1. i don't believe in hell

2. why in the world would they need to scare children into believing. i'm a firm believer in love and compassion

3. they had a scene about a gay man dying of aids, and my cousin is gay. why would i subject my child to that.

those things are terrible, hate mongering events.

It's ok if they don't want to go there, they wouldn't worry much about it since it's physically impossible to go somewhere that doesn't exist.
