My son had a high level on a B12 test (2000) Before it was 900 he about 6 months ago it was 1200 and now 2000. All other labs were normal. Any other ideas or causes for this high reading. (Besides Leukemias and anemias...) What could cause a false high reading? (Besides taking B12)

Maybe your son is hooked on b12 like it is a drug
depending on his age...
he could like the fact it increases your heart rate and makes you extremely hyperactive this is possible not a lie.

Did you find an answer? Other than an issue with nutrient absorption, I've been trying to find out why mine is high, too.

He's using a ''wash'' to flush out any drugs in his urine and taking the B-12 to mask it. The B-12 adds color to the diluted urine.
