My kids are at their dad's. I have 3 options, call this guy I've only talked to a couple times and see if he wants to go out, go to the gym, or catch up on housework.

Prioritize you wants, but note that if you call him there are 2 possible outcomes. If you cannot tell which one you want to do more then choose that one over the other, because he could either accept or not. If he accepts you do not have to make the dessision. If he doesn't then you have your answer, or possibly a choice between the gym and housework. I would call him so that you end up with only 2 choices (at most).
