Likewise, why are Easter, Christmas, the Lenten season, rogation days, and others, derived from pagan holidays. Didn't Christianity have any legitimate calendar of commemorations of its own?

toddlers in effortless words comprehend what they were taught, yet were they taught wisely? Many Christian are taught by their moms and dads to adhere to a particular idea, they search for no more suitable. it type of feels to me that many pagans did not come from pagan households. They grew to develop into pagans from gaining knowledge of quite some different preexisting and modern-day religions. As for me I absolutely have study the OT, the NT, the Nag Hammadi Library, the useless Sea Scrolls, I absolutely have researched Kabbalah, studied Greek and Roman historic past, besides as their gods. Researched the Egyptian gods, the Babylonian gods, the Celtic gods, the Nordic gods, Mayan gods, the gods of the Druids, the Sumerian gods and all the primitive gods predating Christianity. maximum pagans who've studied those have discovered the parallels between quite some religions; they have discovered that the inspiration of Christianity stems from previous pagan beliefs The Bible is written in parables. with the intention to comprehend the reality, we must have all the products of the puzzle. I don’t trust the clues to get to the bottom of the secret were contained interior the obstacles of in simple terms one e book. they have been spread for the time of many historic and before “lost” files. because many Christians have not at all truly researched others religions, how can they say others are incorrect? lots of the pagans I’ve considered submit the following, have study maximum religions and use those knowledgeable study to base their decision.

Hey Koresh, try reading some books. Ever heard of the pagan 'mystery religions'? Probably not, but that's where almost all of the symbolism in the New Testament comes from.

The mystery religions of the eastern Mediterranean area generally focused on mythic figures who had descended into Hades and returned. Sound familiar?

Here is a quote from the Sanctuary of Neith (an Eqyptian goddess of war):
"I am the Universe, Past, Present and Future; no mortal made the acquitance of me."

Hmm... that sounds familiar:
"'I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, 'who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.'"
- Book of Revelation 1:8

Also the story of the virgin birth of Jesus is almost identical to the story of the birth of Osiris (and many others).

Anyway, there are way too many to discuss here. The point is, that the story of the birth, life and death of Jesus is a typical one of many ancient pagan religions.

Dec. 25th is just a date, it really doesn't matter what the date is it's what we're celebrating that matters. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead that took place during the week of the Passover which was a kind of foreshadowing of Jesus. And I don't celebrate Lent so because I'm not Catholic so I don't really know what to tell you there.
As far as the rogation days, I already have a full head of hair, but thanks anyways.

I am not sure Pagan cults is grammaticly correct but....... The term pagan is believing in more than one God. And if anyone who really knows the bible would know that is DOES state that "God" is only a God among Gods. Many holidays and traditions have been linked to pre-christian times. Such as Yule aka Christmas.

I am very sorry to say that you are quiet right, but still, Christianity is a far more better religion than paganism!! You really shouldn't compare. If i were Christian, I would have been upset!

Christians have a tendency to redeem the culture. God gave His people a cultural mandate in Gen 2-3
