Not really, there are things like nose strips but there have limited effectiveness. there is a nose spray that helps some people but I think you need to get that via a prescription and I cant remember the name of it

Flamed ... I had the surgery because my snoring was causing sleep apnea. In my case, my ENT specialist prepared me very well for what would follow the surgery. It was just a bit uncomfortable, but even a wimp like myself was able to get through it easily. Furthermore, I've never regretted having the surgery. It stopped my snoring AND it completely cured my daytime sleepiness.
Your situation may be different. I am NOT trying to talk you into the surgery. You and you doctor will have to decide about that. But I just wanted to offer a little encouragement in case the surgery is offered/recommended to you.
Good luck with it, Flamed.

If you find a way without surgery that is truly successful, you will be very rich. There are mouth guards and other devices that for some help. But you should be checked for sleep apnea because loud snoring is a sign of that possible diagnosis, which only means they have you use oxygen at night.

a snore is a sign of an upper airway or nasal obstruction, so you need to find out the sight of obstruction. is the snore coming completely from a nasal obstruction, or is it an upper airway obstruction. have an overnight oximetry done to find out if your oxygen saturations are dropping. if there is a sawtoothing pattern in your oxygen sats, further investigation should be done, like a formal sleep study. investigate sleep disorders at the american academy of sleep medicine, or the association of polysomnographic technologists website.

Avoid drinking alcohol, eating heavy meals at least 4 hours before going to sleep. Nasal passages can be kept clear using a humidifier, inhaling steam, nasal strips and nasal sprays. A continuous positive airways pressure (CPAP) machine may also help, but it is available only on prescription.More remedies
