This is your daughter. A responsible parent will do the right thing, and that is make sure that your daughters boyfriend knows that this is a real thing and that once he is of age that he will need to take part in the childs life. If he was mature enough to get her pregnant then he has to know that in life there are no get out of trouble tickets. The other parents definitely need to know because it will be their grandchild too. There will obviously need to be some form of financial support at some point, Im only thinking realistically... Accountability is necessary for this type of situation. Its much too late to even bother getting upset now everyone involved need to start taking steps towards solutions. Hope this helps.

This is not an issue of getting him in trouble. There is a child that needs to be cared for, loved, and acknowledged. Without this parental support, this child may make the same careless mistakes that your child made in search for love and attention. I would also suggest making sure your daughter is checked for STD's since she has been having unprotected sex. Teens often don't realize that although they have reached puberty and are experiencing hormone changes, they are still not mature enough to know how to handle the emotional ties that come with a sexual relationship. What seems like love at 15, will be revealed as infatuation when she is old enough to understand.

Tell his parents. Who cares if he gets in trouble? Is there some magical way your daughter could handle it that would keep him from getting in trouble? I doubt it. Try to get his parents to pay 1/2 the pregnancy expenses and hopefully you can convince them to put the baby up for adoption once its born.

Considering that your daughter is a minor, I don't think you should just "let her deal with it", this is your problem too. You need to tell his family together.

You should tell them, not to get him in trouble but because it's their grandbaby too. Maybe they'll want to help out.

Start buying baby clothes!
Hae fun with that and enjoy the new baby, cause killing it will not solve anything at all.
Embrace the baby!
