Do you let them wait until they can make their own educational and medical choices???? These choices will only effect them for the next 70 years or so. Their religious/spiritual choices will affect them for eternity.

The problem with that is, that after children have grown up without any form of religiouos instruction, 99% of the time, their choice is to maintain that position. Face it, even when children are exposed to religious training at a young age, 50% of them don't practice it faithfully when they get older anyway. That is why the Bible says concerning belief in Christ that "straight is the gate and narrow the way and few are them that walk upon it". I would hate to think that my kids would miss out on going to heaven because of me. For that reason alone, I would make sure they had spiritual instruction as a child. Would you hold off sending them to school until they decide they are ready for it, or do you send them anyway?

I didn't wait until they were old enough to learn about manners, or safety. So why would I live out something so important as God. Nope, I taught my kids young and now I going to start working on my grand kids, just like my Granny did with me. I love her for it and she has been dead for many years. I am raising children not wild weeds. To say that we raise our children to keep money going to the Church is the most asinine thing anyone of any intelligence could say. Plain old bashing again. I bet some don't count how much money they put into the local pub.

I believe that parents, the Government and the schooling system...etc should make a point of instilling Christianity into children as soon as possible. It's best to catch them early and... What? That's what they've been doing for years? Oh, okay then.

Stop filling the children's minds with horror stories. Let them make their own choices when they want to.

Parents should teach their children their beliefs and how to cope in the world. We need to equip children as early as possible.

If you wait until they are older to teach them about religion then aren't indoctrinating them not to have any religious beliefs. Therefore just as bad indocrinating them to any certain belief.

All Children need to reach an age to make an informed decision themselves. But its our responsibilty to share our knowledge with them even at a young age. Why would you want to hide the TRUTH from your chlidren?

I think children need to have God in their lives as much as adults do. If they don't have a strong belief, they will fall for all the false teachings that pop up everyday. If they decide to change when they are older, that is between them and God.

May God Bless you.

Wait for what? Wait until I introduce God?
I bring my baby girl to the nursery so she can play with kids her age. If when she's older, she tells me she just cant believe it, then that's her own choice.

As adults, we have the God given responsibility to train our children right in the eyes of the Lord. Can any one show me in the Bible where children have any rights other than to obey their parents? I have looked everywhere and I can't find any.

everybody has some philosophy, ethical ethics, or set of standards, political ideals, etc. in existence that they stick to and in the event that they have toddlers they're going to instill those values whether or no longer that is with the aid of faith or different styles of "indoctrination". definitely all toddlers are raised with the aid of indoctrination. in addition they get in faculties and the different style of formal placing the place they are studying. little question atheist father and mom at this very 2d are indoctrinating their toddlers to experience contempt for faith and the perception in God. So i think of your argument is slightly one sided in saying that basically non secular human beings could refrain from instilling their ideals into their toddlers.
