Neither Adam and Eve had an umbilical chord so why the belly button?

Also if Adam and Eve had 3 boys how did they reproduce?

OK..

1. How can I know that they had a belly buttons, it's just a question.

2. Shawndell Lucero - to answer your question men have nipples because all embryos start as females and at a specific development stage some get an extra chromosome and some don't - XY = male etc

3. If everyone stemmed from Noah once the flood snuffed everyone out, my point is this, how was Noah created in the first place? But according to people Adam and Eve had more than 3 boys only they weren't really mentioned in the bible.....and they lived for 800 years so had lots of relations with their family....hmmmm geriatric pimping.... nice!!!!

4. The bible is obviously not clear because apparently now god created more than Adam and Eve but these people were never really mentioned!

I'm more confused then ever!!

A believer that's thinking here will say that they didn't, and that artists were the only people that portrayed them as having a belly button.

You are, of course going to get a lot of responses claiming that the entire population of the world came about as a result of incest. You see, incest was okay back then. Lovely thought, isn't it?

They might also tell you that the reason that it was okay for a son to have a child with his mother was because they were genetically perfect (being God's creations), and so the child wouldn't stand any chance of being born with a deformity. They don't bother to think that not only is that ludicrous, but they also forget that Eve is supposed to be made from Adam's rib. She would therefore have exactly the same genes Adam has. Therefore their children would all have identical genes, which is laughable.

The whole story of creation is ridiculous, but you already knew that, didn't you?

Use common sense here buddy. If they weren't from the womb then most likely they didn't have a belly button. Geez....what does that even have to do with anything? It amazes me how Anti-God/Anti-Christians come up with the most SILLY arguments against Christianity....did Adam and Eve have Belly Buttons?? lol good one. You should be able to differeniate between issues that are actually important versus those that are just ridiculous, such as this one. I advise that you further study the Bible and perhaps even purchase a Bible Concordance to help you understand what you are reading. One thing that a person never should do is misinterpret the Bible or any material for that matter and then spread that ignorance around. That is why we have Mormons, Catholics and Jehovah's Witnesses. They are a result of a people who have SEVERELY misinterpreted the Bible and even added some of their own made up material to the Bible and are now misleading millions of people. Many of the things that they teach cannot even be found in the Bible at all.

1.where in the Bible did it say Adam and Eve had a belly button?

2."The Bible says Cain went to the land of Nod, and knew his wife. Some people feel that this means Cain met his wife in Nod. So the question is, if Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel, and Cain killed Abel, who did Cain marry? It appears that the question is answered by suggesting that other people unrelated to Adam and Eve were alive at the time, however, if we learn to stick with God's Word, and not man's fallible word, we will never be let down. Genesis 5:4 explains how Adam lived 800 years and had sons and daughters!

How many kids could two people have in 800 years! So Cain would have more than likely married a sister of his. This would take us into a whole new question of "Is it right for them to marry brothers and sisters". The laws forbidding it weren't given until over 2000 years later. Secondly, they wouldn't experience any of the genetic problems we have today with close-relational breeding. This is an entirely different question, so I'll leave it at that! View Dr. Hovind's DVD titled "The Garden of Eden" for more about Cain and his Wife."

I love these questions. The bad science and false reasoning that people use to explain the Adam and Eve myth is a guaranteed belly laugh. I enjoy the brothers beget sisters nonsense, makes me glad I had an education.

1- Who ever said they had belly buttons?

2- Adam and Eve had alot more than 3 boys, the 3 boys were just the only ones specifically talked about. He probably had daughters before Seth was born. And he DEFINATLY have other sons and daughters after Seth was born (Genesis 5:4). Seth, Cain, and Able were not Adam's only children, the Bible proves it.

How do you know they had belly buttons?
The bible says God made 'man' in his own image - it could mean 'man' as a species so he made lots of women and men who could then reproduce children with belly buttons.
Adam could have been the very first, hence the special relationship with God, (like the firstborn child). So as the kind of forefather of mankind Adam took the responsibility for their spirituality.

Why keep yelping about Adam and Eve? Didn't you ever hear about the flood? The only human survivors were Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives, so these are the ones we are actually descended from. :=)
