3rd answerer and me have it --- use as big a round brush as you can with your hair length, pull fairly hard and slowly and hold dryer close to hair. works better if someone else is doing it for you, they have even better leverage, but you can do it yourself

Blowdrying your hair can be minutely better for your hair than using a straightening iron. Here are some directions that you might find helpful:

Using a bristle brush, take 2 inch sections of hair place the blowdryer 2 or 3 inches from your hair. Start at the nape of your neck and make sure you keep your hair taught. Start blowdrying at the root and slowly move the brush and blowdryer simultaneously down the section of hair. The reason why it might not have worked for you in the past is because you need to hold the hair VERY tight. For this reason, it is often easier to have someone else blowdry your hair. Remember: always use a heat-induced conditioner. It will help prevent damage in your hair.

OR, try putting your hair in curlers and sitting under a large hairdryer contraption. My friend does that all of the time.

Hope this helps!

A straightener will be your best bet. Use a conair one - they're usually only about 25$. Just make sure you use a cream that will help your hair (I've used a straightener for years and my hair is still very healthy and moisturized if that's what you're worried about).

Also, try this brush:

It's not a straightener because you still use your hair dryer but it clamps like a straightener as you blow dry. I've used this brush before and it works well. Use straightening shampoo/conditioner/creams also. John Frieda, Sunsilk, Back To Basics and a few other brands have very good Straightening lines.

Good luck!

I have naturally curly hair too and i cant stand blow dryers! I refuse to use one! I have ever been able to get it as straight as i want it with just a blow dryer. I have a wet/dry straightner that works pretty well and eliminates the blow dryer completely. The other thing that i do is wash my hair at night, put some heat protector cream in it, put it up, and sleep on it. In the morning its pretty dry and then i can start with the straightner.

Try using some hairspray (just a light amount) on the ends of your hair while it's wet and use a soft-bristle round brush. I dry mine in layers, from the bottom layer to top. I use a hair clip to keep the top parts out of the way.

Keep the straightener handy to smooth out the top layer of your hair after it's dry, because it will be a little frizzy. Finish it off with a little more hairspray. During the day I run my fingers through it, top to bottom, to help relax it and keep it straight. Practice makes perfect.

The thing is that if you have natrualy curly hair when you bowdry it straight it will get really frizzy. Now if you don't want to striaghten it every day you can it permed straight wich lasts about 3 months.

Do it layer by potential of layer. And do it smartly with a around brush, additionally do no longer do it in a steamy bathing room through fact it's going to make your hair frizzier from the humidity. this is how I do it and it seems intense-high quality, I even have incredibly thick frizzy hair. in case you have a flat-iron, then try flat-ironing after blowdrying to make it shinier, smoother, and straighter... reliable good fortune!! :)

use a round brush and while you blow dry your hair pull your hair away from yourself while brushing your hair. It should only take like 20-30 minutes that's how long it takes for me to do it at least.

alright instead of letting it go crazy what you do is take a chunk of it and pull it out or tug on it so its tight and then blow dry that peice intill its dry. and then do that to all of your hair and it will dry like that =]
or you can buy a wet to dry straightner or theres blow dryers that have these ridges at the ends so it does both at the same time.

whats wrong with straightening it??? if you dont want to damage it so much heres what you can do....wash your hair, blow dry it as good as you can, then fix it up with a ceramic hair straightner,
also probably your hair is too curly to straighten it totally
