it fairly is an exceptionally reliable question. Many Christians seem to assume that if a Non-Christian examine the Bible and don't trust them that the Non-Christian the two examine the incorrect translation or in simple terms "will no longer be able to work out the reality through fact they are blinded by potential of devil".... I examine the recent testomony in the two English and Koine (New testomony) Greek, so in simple terms HOW am I failing to examine the "maximum suitable" version? And in simple terms through fact i've got faith that Jesus must be A God, in simple terms no longer MY God through fact I follow my Ancestral Gods does no longer recommend that I incredibly have been "blinded" to the two the helpful AND the hazards of their e book.... in spite of if the Christians seem to forget approximately approximately those self-comparable risks....

Some Christians can't seem to comprehend the fact that some Atheists and Agnostics such as myself were Christians who are no longer apart of the religion and that we have read the bible and just aren't interested in the religion of Christiantiy.

I seriously doubt that they have read it cover to cover. Same goes for a lot of Christians, too. Seems like most people have a favorite section or two, but only a small number of fundamentalists know it well enough to quote chapter and verse by heart.

If you're Christian, chances are you feel that anyone who reads the Bible from cover to cover will be enlightened to the word of God, otherwise known as Truth. Therefore, anyone who is not Christian has not read the Bible.

Obviously this is not the case, but you asked...

I personally wouldn't think they've read the bible because they don't believe in that faith. I'm sure some have, but I haven't read the bible. I haven't read the Qua'ran. The only thing I really like is the Torah scriptures because that's what I'm interested in.

I dont assume that all Agnostic/Athiests haven't read the bible. Your question is an assumption in itself.
Obviously though if they have read it and don't believe then they have not read it with a searching heart and understood the message.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
(1Cor1:18)
Truly seek God and ask Him to open your eyes, THEN read it.

They can't stomach the fact that the very thing that they pretend is the Word and glory of God is the very thing that makes their Religion so easily mockable and utterly rediculous. To them, the Bible is everything and they really can't understand how someone could read it and not fall head-over-heels in love with Jesus and the Bible. However, that is their problem, and I see that way of thinking as truly part of the thought process and mindset that is necessary for a deep xtian belief, so I doubt it will ever change (so long as xtianity is around anyway).

I have heard that the #1 atheist maker is reading the bible. A lot of atheists will tell you that the bible was what made them become atheist.

Every time I read one of your posts, I just have to do it the accent from the movie. I just makes them even more fun.

Sometimes it gives the appearance that christians think if you have read the Bible you will automatically believe. It is hard for them, who believe in it to varying degrees, to understand why someone does not. So, some, not all, just assume that we haven't read their holy book.

It is silly, isn't it.
It's not just atheists and agnostics, by the way. Many Christians generally assume anyone not of their faith is not that way because they are dumb or lack education. They even think it of other Christians.

I often get this funny feeling when talking to many Christians that they are unprepared to deal with this little Pagan who learned their book in the original Greek. (Never could do Hebrew, but I have read the Vulgate.)
