its a very hush-hush peice of legislation that hyas only recently come to light, and I myself am planning on taking advantage as my bank has robbed me blind of about £200 in he past 12 months in over-draft charges. I am not sure of the web address but I am sure if you type 'reclaiming over draft fees' or something simillair intoYahoo search engine, it will bring uo the relevent info and how to go about it. I have had friends who have done this recently and it has worked, the only thing is, they have then had to change to another bank as their bank manager hasn't been very pleased with them. Sorry this answer is so long and garbled but I hope it helps!!

I am. Well my bloke is but Im the one writing the letters and doing all the work!!
I think a lot of people arent cos they believe they wont succeed. But most banks give in once you have issue proceedings as far as I have heard.
I know two people personally who got theirs back, (one I wrote the letters for) but they were quite small amounts.
I just read the one above - web site is 'bankchargeshell' and the 'which' website - both give you template letters.

Exuberant bank charges? Do you mean exorbitant bank charges, by any chance? Exuberant means joyous, ecstatic, happy in an unrestrained manner.

I am still planning to look into this, as it would be rather nice to have some of it back. Unfortunately I missed the newspaper that showed you step-by step how to go about it.
