i'm 14, and my eczema is becoming a bit of a problem. My hands, wrists and neck are the most badly affected.
I think, whenever i'm stressed, worried or nervous i start scratching. Its horrible, and makes my skin red and dry.
I use Nivea cream, and it does help a little. But i'm not sure if Atrixo, another brand makes it worse.
Has anyone got any idea what could relieve the itching? Not a pleasent subject i know. Lol. All replies appreciated.

Try Aqueous cream or E45 cream. These should cool your eczema., and also stop it from going dry and scaley. I suffer from eczema too and aqueous cream does soothe. I think though you should go to a doctor, he may be able to give you something that is stronger and will work quicker. Try to keep your skin cool because heat can set it off too. Mine becomes terrible when I'm stressed too. It is awful, but I really think the doctor will help. Good luck and I hope it clears up soon

You really shouldn't use Nivea or any of the normal brands they contain perfume which will irritate your skin, causing your eczema to get worse.

I use a combination of aqueous cream to soothe it, it doesn;t contain perfume.

If it is really bad you need a steriod cream/oiltment to reduce the inflamation, I normally buy hyrocortisone from the chemist, you can only use it for a max of about a week but it does the job.

I myself hae problems with eczema and the thing that works for me is cortaid or cortizone. Just apply it right after you shower and the area is clean. I also use Nivea as an over coat to the cortizone

what ever you do stop putting the nivea and atrixo cream on !!
they both contain high levels of grease
you should try putting on some natural yogurt about an hour before bed and then wash it off
because it takes away the redness and itchiness and leaves your skin nice and soft!!

but what eva u do don't put it in your mouth (it tastes horrible!!)

I have been suffering from eczema since when I was just a kid and none of the many products I tried ever really worked. My eczema kept coming back again because I was never really addressing the root of the problem
