Where can I find some from this decade? Wal-Mart only has Elmo books, which are OK; however, I'm looking for books with all of the characters. Sesameworshop.com has some as well as allaboardtoys.com; however, I would rather go to the store than order them online. Any ideas? The only stores I have in my area are Wal-Mart and Shopko. I could drive to Target or some place else if they have them. Thanks!

Our library has books that are falling apart from the 80's...they really need to update their selection.

How about going to a bookstore instead of somewhere like Walmart? They will most likely have a much better selection.

I have a great series of 4 Sesame Street books by Bendon Publishing. Website is www.bendonpub.com. You can click on the Sesame Street link and download a .pdf listing the books they have available.

The 4 we have is not listed on the Bendon brochure, but the names are: Big Bird's Guessing Game about Shapes, Cookie's Guessing Game about Food, Grover's Guessing Game about Animals and Elmo's Guessing Game about Colors. My 2 (almost 3) year old loves these books! I bought them through the Children's Book of the Month club online (www.cbomc.com). They no longer seem to have them. Amazon.com might have a good selection, too.

If you want to find them in a bookstore, you might try a Border's, Barnes & Nobles or similar chain with a children's section. I'm not sure if Target would have them, but you could check Target.com before making the drive. Hope I've helped.

I would say the best way to find these type books is to go to a well known book store like Barnes and Nobles. If that is too far away from you I would suggest a children's book club like Children's Book of the Month Club. I have my children enrolled in these and there are amazing books at great prices. Not only sesame street, but hundreds of educational books that children love. Clifford, Dora, the giving tree. Being in one of these book clubs seems to be the easiest and best for my children. Also, alot of people sell these Sesame Street books and the old golden rule books at garage sales for practically nothing. You're local Goodwill may very well have what you are looking for, just call them and ask them what day of the week they fill the floor and whatever day that is ... be there bright and early. Best of Luck. Take care

Most stores like Wal-mart should have them. K-Mart, Toys R Us, Borders, Barnes & Noble..any store like that should carry them. I haven't seen any at Target but you could check. If all else fails, try Ebay or maybe just go to the library.

I've gotten cookie monster books at Sam's Club. I also got a book with all of the Sesame Street characters in them there.

I got a Grover book at TJ Maxx. They usually have a good selection. (although the book section is usually trashed so you really have to dig.)

Ebay or go to a bookstore that may be able to special order them. Advertise on Craigs list that you are looking for some you might run into someone that still has some.
